2015 International Women's Day

As you may know, in previous years the Staff Union participated in the tradition of giving red carnations to women on International Women's day.

We have also contributed to the efforts of The Hague Focal Point for Women and to NGOs in the former Yugoslavia.

This year we have decided to put funds to a good cause: helping young women in Tanzania!

As part of the celebrations of the 2015 International Women's Day, the MICT Arusha branch will launch the

"Make Her Future Happen: Mentoring Programme for Arusha Girls".

It is planned as a year long initiative designed to incorporate MICT staff members to mentor girls of the ages of 16 and 17 years

who do not have access to similar mentoring opportunities.

Funds will be required to provide the girls with transportation to the venue and lunches.

The Staff Union will make a contribution and we are hoping for your support, as well!

Collection boxes will be placed in the Main and Admin buildings, until 16 March.

It is also possible to contribute through your bank.

If you choose to, please indicate that the payment is for the International Women's Day.
